IMPACTO DE LAS ACTIVIDADES DE EXTENSIÓN, VINCULACIÓN COMUNITARIA E INVESTIGACIÓN DE FORMA PRECOZ EN LA FORMACIÓN DE ESTUDIANTES DE MEDICINA

El objetivo del trabajo fue evaluar la importancia de actividades curriculares de investigación, extensión y vinculación temprana en la formación de los futuros médicos, utilizando un enfoque reflexivo a partir de las experiencias aplicadas en el segundo semestre de la carrera de medicina de una universidad en la ciudad de Santa Cruz.  Estas experiencias permitieron a los estudiantes de medicina tener contacto directo con las necesidades de la comunidad, fortaleciendo su perfil profesional. Se analizaron las oportunidades que estas actividades brindaron en términos de la comprensión del contexto social y sanitario, y se identificaron las fortalezas, debilidades, amenazas y riesgos percibidos por los estudiantes durante su implementación. El estudio se basó en entrevistas reflexivas, cuyos resultados fueron categorizados para ofrecer una visión integral de los beneficios y desafíos de este enfoque educativo.

ABSTRACT

The objective of the work was to evaluate the importance of curricular activities,

research, extension and early connection in the training of future doctors, using a reflective approach based on the experiences applied in the second semester of the medical degree at a university in the city ​​of Santa Cruz.  These experiences allowed medical students to have direct contact with the needs of the community, strengthening their professional profile. The opportunities that these activities provided were analyzed in terms of understanding the social and health context, and the strengths, weaknesses, threats and risks perceived by the students during their implementation were identified. The study was based on reflective interviews, the results of which were categorized to offer a comprehensive view of the benefits and challenges of this educational approach.
